Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Center is located in the hills near Cherukara village, after reaching Cherukara station you can hire an auto which will drop you in the institution; the auto-stand is very close to the railway station. The closest town is Perinthalmanna which is 10 kms away from the institute, you can find many buses and autos who can drop you at cherukara. most of the auto-drivers in the town know about the institute and they will drop you directly at the institute for around Rs.150.

The town "Perinthalmanna" also shown as "Perintalmanna" is close to Malappuram town, Thrissur, Kochi and Calicut (Khozikhode). Thrissur, Malappuram and Calicut (Khozikhode) are closer and can be reached in 2-3 hrs while Kochi is a little farther and requires 4-5 hrs of travel time. Coimbatore airport is also approachable as it is closer. There are  interstate buses which connect both the state of Tamil nadu and Kerala from there and these buses will drop you at Perintalmanna town.

Major railway stations are: Shoranur Junction (1 hr away from cherukara and the most visited station by the students.) you can find many trains which will connect you to New Delhi and the North Indian region. Ernakulam Station (Kochi station) is also pretty popular and many trains are accessible through that station.

Nearby airports are: Calicut (nearest but expensive), Kochi (a little farther but highly accessible and cheaper because it is a major airport.) and Kannur (newest airport with average fares, but is fartherst) other airports are far away (such as Trivendrum)
