Nearby Towns

Perintalmanna is the closest town to the AMU malappuram center campus (10 KM away). It is a small town with good condition of living and proper facilities available. There are a lot of shops, malls and restaurants so if a student wants to buy something he will visit the town. Most of the students in the campus have their own bikes, so it takes only 15-20 mins to reach the town. Students who don't have their own vehicles can call an auto. The auto charges Rs.100 to go downhill/uphill to Cherukara crossing from there students can find a bus and reach the town in just Rs.10. You can also hire the auto to town thus costing it around Rs 150-200.

Shoranur is the next closest town to the center; but students only visit if they are planning to go to other major cities as it is the closest major railway station. you can find major trains here. To reach Shoranur students catch a train from Cherukara station which is located near the campus.

Pattambi is the next closest town to the center. If a student is unable to find train to reach Shoranur (due to the reason that there are limited trains going to and from Cherukara! ) then he has to go to Pattambi via bus and then he can take a bus to Shoranur from there.

 

Pulamanthole is visited by a very few students as most of the students visit perintalmanna if they need something or Shoranur if they want to go somewhere.
