Admissions & Courses available

Admission process is same in all of the centres of ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY, Aligarh.

To get admissions in any of the above courses you'll have to qualify AMU entrance examinations whose link can be found in controller of examinations website (https://amucontrollerexams.com/), after qualifying the exams, the results are announced on the same website. If you are facing any issues or have any query related to admissions  regarding any course in Aligarh Muslim University and its centres; you can use the website mentioned above.

After qualifying the entrance exams you'll have to appear in the interview and group discussion (some courses such as B.A.LL.B, etc. don't require them and you can just go for counselling in that case.)

In the counselling session and depending upon your merit created by considering all the quotas (Internal/CoA/CoE/Sports/Physically handicapped,etc) you will be given options to choose the centre which you desire (AMU Aligarh, AMU Malappuram, AMU Murshidabad, AMU Kishanganj).

You may choose according to your preference; but you'll be selected depending upon your merit and availability of the seats.

Following is the Merit Order:

1. AMU Aligarh
2. AMU Malappuram
3. AMU Murshidabad
4. AMU Kishanganj

(The above merit order is based upon facts and figures of old data, thus you should try to get in touch with maximum numbers of students and people to find out the current trend.)

You should choose your preference accordingly, but most of the students choose the above order.
please note that if you cant get your desired centre due to no availability of the seats in the counselling, even then you still can apply according to your preference and may benefit from seat up-gradation.
Currently AMU malappuram offers three courses which are as follows:

• B.A.LL.B(Hons.): 60 Seats
• B.Ed: 50 Seats
• M.B.A: 60 Seats

B.A.LL.B(Hons.)
With an intake of 60 seats per year, this 5-year professional integrated law course focuses on nurturing students who aspire to become a lawyer. AMU offers  this course on a full time basis and with the lowest fees in its Malappuram and Murshidabad centres, It also provides its students with opportunities of internship with highly respected lawyers in the Supreme court of India.

B.Ed
With an intake of 50 seats per year, this  2-year course focuses on creating teachers out of able graduates with specialization in: English, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Physical Science, Biological Science, Mathematics, Commerce, Economics, Civics, Geography, History, Islamic Studies.

M.B.A
With an intake of 60 seats per year, this 2-year Master's course focuses on creating professionals who can lead organisations, industries and create employment by becoming an  able entrepreneur.
the MBA offers Dual specialization which you may or may opt or you can also go with a single specialization, which can be opted in the beginning of the third semester.
specialization offered  in AMU Malappuram are as follows: Marketing, Operations, Finance, HR.
